Solicitors demand the court save the request

LAHORE:

A writ request was recorded in the Lahore High Court on Saturday (LHC) testing a request for the representative magistrate (DC) of Lahore, Rafia Haider, in which she declined to give consent for Aurat Walk in the commonplace capital on Walk 8.

The appeal was recorded by Khawar Mumtaz, Leena Ghani and Hiba Akbar in which the delegate magistrate Lahore, the public authority of Punjab through its central secretary, and capital city cop (CCPO) Lahore were made respondents.

The candidates entreated the court that the decried request is "erratic and colourable activity of force and is in clear infringement of the key privileges ensured in the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan".

Mentioning the court to strike down the agent chief's organization, the appeal added that the request "not restricted to one side to gathering, the right to speak freely of discourse as well as the right to non-separation and to separately be treated as per regulation as ensured in Articles 15, 16, 17, 19 and 25".

The Aurat Walk was held without precedent for Karachi, Hyderabad, Islamabad, Peshawar, Quetta and Lahore in 2018 to check Global Ladies' Day, a generally commended day to bring issues to light about ladies' freedoms.

It is run completely by residents working intentionally, as the Aurat Walk doesn't join forces with non-administrative associations (NGOs), ideological groups or companies.

The occasion steadily developed into a social development with ladies and transsexual individuals from all circles of life holding hands to work for ladies and trans freedoms. Attorneys, specialists, craftsmen, engineers, homemakers, worker's organization activists and understudies have all joined the yearly occasion.
